What is the availability of Mizpah Christian Retreat?

Availability is a first come, first serve basis. We will hold the camp tentatively until completion of contract, fee registration and refundable deposit have been received.

Do we have the entire camp to ourselves or are we sharing with another group?

The Mountain Village and Lodge can be reserved separately or together. If you only reserve one area, it is possible another group may have also be on site.

What is the maximum number of people that are allowed?

Both the Mountain Village and Lodge have a capacity of 50 individuals each.

What is the cost per person and is there is a minimum fee?

Yes, each area has a minimum fee. Please, contact Hannaford Street Bible Church for a fee schedule.

Is there a pool or a lake?

Mizpah currently has a retention pond that is for drainage purposes only. Newlan Creek Reservoir is located 12 miles from the camp.

What's included in the price?

Use of the entire area you are reserving (Mountain Village or Lodge) and the shared grounds of Mizpah.

Is there staff on site?

No. There is no staff on site. Those renting the facility prepare their own food and plan their own activities. There is a caretaker that travels to the camp and will make sure the cabins are ready for you, remove snow, etc.

Is the Mountain Village and Lodge heated and/or air conditioned?

Both areas are heated but there is no air conditioning.

Is Mizpah Christian Retreat handicap accessible?

Yes, both the Mountain Village and the Lodge are ADA compiant.

Do we have to clean the camp before we leave?

Yes. Both the Mountain Village and the Lodge have cleaning lists posted. It is expensive to get cleaning crews to a site this remote. We kindly request that you leave the camp looking better than when you arrived.
